Blach Construction is a 40 plus year old well established general contractor with vast experience building public K-12 education facilities throughout Northern California.
To fulfill the District’s desire for local participation, and their commitment to the voters who approved Measure A, CJUSD and Blach Construction are asking local contractors in all specialty trade areas to become a prequalified subcontractor with Blach Construction. Once completed, the prequalification process enables subcontractors to be placed in Blach’s subcontractor database for inclusion on subcontractor bid lists for upcoming projects. The prequalification package and instructions are available by clicking below.

Voters show confidence in District during tough economic times
CALISTOGA, CA – Voters in the Calistoga Jt. Unified School District approved Measure “A” on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Measure “A”, a $42 million bond measure, was put on the ballot to renovate and improve Calistoga schools, including improved libraries, classrooms, roofing, HVAC, technology, a new gym and cafeteria, and solar energy systems.
“This victory was a result of extensive planning, community involvement, and local confidence in our schools. Through the efforts of our community and all of our volunteers, our students will have the benefit of modernized and new facilities. My sincerest thank you to our voters and many volunteers for their time, effort, and support,’’ said Superintendent Esmeralda Mondragon.
The District is committed to maintaining the community’s confidence by establishing a citizens’ oversight committee, comprised of local citizens and taxpayers. The committee will be established to monitor all bond measure projects and expenditures, provide proper oversight, controls, and accountability to ensure that bond measure funds are used as they were intended, and make regular reports to the community on the progress of the bond measure projects.
The Calistoga Jt. Unified District currently operates three schools, Calistoga Elementary, Calistoga Junior / Senior High School, and Palisades Continuation High and educates approximately 820 students in grades K through 12.
